Very heavy Cast Bronze E. F. Caldwell Neo-classical 2-light
with Cut Glass shades. Well defined detail of very heavy scrolls,
drapes and acanthus. This Turn-of-the-century Chandelier has
a lot of the Neo-classical detail that Caldwell was known for
in the revival of the American Neo-classical period of 1840.
Probably a Foyer light, the cut glass shades
are topped with cast bronze treatments of leaf design.
Quite large scale, it has a big feeling and would make a great fixture
for a medium sized Foyer.
