We have 5 of these Art Nouveau Pendants.
Quite an organic feel to the glass used for these fixtures.
Art Nouveau in the U.S., during the period, was more of a
Victorian substyle. In Europe you will see whole buildings
in the Art Nouveau style. In the US you see the movement
more in accessories like lighting, windows and wall paper.
Also, there is always some hybridization. In the US. this
period was exhibited later than in Europe and so it coincided
with Art Deco, Colonial Revival and Arts and Crafts. These
Pendants would work very well over an Island. They are
12" diameter with a 43" drop. Interesting in that
the glass is 15 inches long. Quite an elevation.
