It's casted d'ore leaves draped over the entire light gives the chandelier a golden warmth. During this period the craftspeople incorporated history into their design. This Rococco design was established in France in a much earlier period when Kings ruled. It reminds one a little bit of the Palace of Versaille. This chandelier is in very good original condition with all of the d'ore finish intact. This would look great in a dining room with other gold leaf details like mirror frames or other moulded relief. Resides in a kitchen in Jamaica Plain, MA
